Mobility services
The WiFi network & services in Bouveret (Bouveret Alpine HotSpot) support various services where one such service is wlan@thenet. Wlan@thenet is a mobility service and is accessible by two ways:
- Free service wlan@thenet
You can surf for 30 minutes at a time at a speed up to 256kbps. After 30 minutes the session will expire. To continue surfing you have to login again.
- Pemium service wlan@thenet
For faster (up to 2000kbps) and unlimited surfing with no time or volume limits, you can purchase prepaid cards for the mobility service wlan@thenet. We offer prepaid cards for limited periods but also for longer periods from CHF 13.- / month on. These cards can be purchased at one of our partners in Bouveret or online. How can I use the Bouveret Alpine HotSpot service?
You have to allow your device to connect to our network wlan@thenet. You must allow dynamic allocation of the IP number to your device (please note most devices are already configured in this way). You start your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc). You give any web address (but no https web addresses) and you automatically arrive at our Landng Page. You may log in via our Landing Page for free or premium services.
Where can I find the signal wlan@thenet?
For coverage maps and addresses with a wlan@thenet signal, please visit our HotSpot Locator. Please mind that the coverage may vary.
What do I need to surf on the WiFi network?
You need an Laptop, a SmartPhone or another device with a wireless network card. They should fulfill the standard 802.11b or 802.11g.
What can I do to get a better signal at my place?
Our product wlan@thenet is a mobility service. However you can purchase a Managed Repeater Service for your home, This should help you to get a better signal. Please contact our local partner in Bouveret.
